In an effort to get better survival of stocked fish, the DWR's Fisheries Sec tion has a project underway under-way that will hopefully provide thousands of cutthroat cut-throat trout for Flaming Gorge. DWR has agreed to supply the Fish and Wildlife Service with 500,000 cutthroat eggs that will be hatched and raised to five inches, then released at the Gorge. There is also hopes that the introduction of cutthroats cut-throats will help reduce the Utah chub and white sucker populations. |
