Winners in some instances I will be assured of gaining office, I since no Democratic challenge n ' I filed in a number of slots. j Voters will cast ballots in the races for 2 and' 4 year county commissioner, for sheriff, and for , j clerk-auditor. I Leo Burr, who is currently j serving a 2-year term as commis- ' sioner, will face John Lowther on J the Primary ballot. The winner of that contest will face Democratic candicate Larry Jacobs and Indep-j Indep-j endent candidate Charles W. I Nelson at the general election in early November. J James (Jim) McPherson, retired livestock man and Cleve A. I Raymond, Moab dentist, are j seeking Republican nod on the I primary election ballot for the I 2-year commission post. The J winner will be opposed in Novem-J Novem-J ber by Democratic candidate Ray j Pene. I Lynn F. lzatt and Lawrence W. (Larry) Rowley, both local profess- ional law enforcement officers, I oppose each other for the office of I sheriff on the Republican primary ticket. The successful candidate wiU face Jim Nyland, a DemocT U and local former law officer, for t office of sheriff in the genei', election, to replace incumK,,, Sheriff W. H.
