Show Lost Hikers Fount Near Hanksville ( By Barbara Ekker A party of six lost Hikers were located' late Sunday a mile above the mouth of Poison Springs Canyon following fol-lowing a two day search on the part of the Wayne County Coun-ty Jeep Posse, with members mem-bers from Bicknell, Loa and Hanksville; and aerial searches sear-ches by Dennis Ekker of Hanksville and Jim Hurst of Green Riiver. The group from the Navajo, Nava-jo, Trail Boys Camp two miles east of Bicknell were hiking from Hanksville down the Dirty Devil River to the mouth of Poison Springs. TMe'ir departure date was the 7th and they were to arrive ar-rive Friday, July 10 at their pick-up point. When they failed to show up Dennis Ekker Ek-ker flew the area early Saturday Sa-turday morning with Dean Eklfler as spotter. The boys were located atop the shin-erump shin-erump ledge at the mouth of Happy Canyon. Those in the group were: Stafford Sampson, Richfield; and Obaries Hugo. Provo, who are senior counselors. The youths, all sixteen, were Eric Er-ic . Roach, San Bernardino, Calif.; Rich Dunn, San Francisco; Fran-cisco; Rich Armstrong, Tucson, Tuc-son, Ariz.; and Bill Humes, Los. Angeles. Don Sampson, camp director, dir-ector, from Sunny Vale, California, Cal-ifornia, aided by four other youths from the camp, Bill Stewart, Los . Altos, Calif. ; Scott Schneider, Kankanbee, 111.; Bruce De Vore, Fillmore, Fill-more, Calif.; and Dave Har-sha, Har-sha, Molina, 111., combed the area hoping j f eu- tracks.
