' John Wesley Newman appeared ap-peared before liite court on July 10, on a- fugitive complaint com-plaint 'from San Diego County, Coun-ty, Calif., for failure to provide pro-vide support for his minor children. After being advised advis-ed of hjis rights, he refused to Waive extradition and was sentenced to serve thirty days in- the county jail with bail set at $1,000. Bail was posted and the defendant released. A Monday morning court session at 10 o'clock, consumed con-sumed the case of a drunk driving charge against Wil-l'am: Wil-l'am: Bratcher Smith. On the advice of counsel, Mr. Smith forfeited bail on Hie charge. Another fugitive warrant was handled in Ciity Court on Tuesday, July 14, with the Bippearance of Jciel Lewell-en Lewell-en Agnew. The warrant came from Eugene, Ore., on a charge of child neglect. The defendant refused to walive extradition, and bail was set at $500. |
