Show Moab Student Involved in SLC Seminar Allen D. Musgrove, Pre-' Pre-' sident of IML Freight, Inc.. and Utah State Chairman for National Transportation Transporta-tion Week, has announced the participation of an outstanding student from each high school in a tran-portation tran-portation seminar to be held in Salt Lake. The student who will represent Grand County High School is David Ad-kison. Ad-kison. Each student was chosen for his all-around capabilities, personality, scholastic ability, leadership leader-ship qualties, etc.! On May 20 at 9:00 a.m. the students will meet at the Salt Lake International Internation-al Airport. After a grand tour of the airline industry, indus-try, they will each receive a box lunch and then board buses which will conduct them on a tour of all the major transportation transporta-tion companies in the Salt Lake area. This is being done to give the students an insight into the actual day-to-day operation of each specific company. The tour will "culminate at 4:00 p. m., after which the students stud-ents will return to their respective lodgings. Later that evening the students have reservations for the showing to be given giv-en at the Hansen Planetarium. Planet-arium. Friday, May 21, the students stu-dents will once again meet, only this time the House of Representatives Chamber Cham-ber in the State Capitol. There will be a designated designat-ed representative's desk for each student. The students stu-dents will be addressed by Governor Calvin L. Ramy-ton Ramy-ton and key figures in the transportation industry. The students will then have the opportunity to poll the industry representatives on points such as ecology, economic ec-onomic influence to th.? state, new modes, etc. The Seminar will conclude con-clude the evening of Friday, Fri-day, May 21, after which the students will return to their respective homes. |
