Show Oil Conference Scheduled Soon In Denver Oil men in the Rockies will take the measure of oil business public affairs in terms of ecology, public lands development and the potential energy crises during their forthcoming convention in Denver. Nearly six hundred area oil producers are expected to attend the 25th anniversary anniver-sary convention of the Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Association, Sept. 3i)-Oct.. 3i)-Oct.. 1-2, Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. Dr. Wilson M. Laird, Director of the Office of Oil and Gas, U. S. Department Depart-ment of the Interior, will address the convention on Friday, Oct. 2nd. Dr. Laird will discuss the "Nation's "Na-tion's Energy Problems," and additionally, make specific spe-cific reference to future onshore reserves and the place of the small independent inde-pendent oil company in the Rockies. "Balanced Growth in the West . . . Quality and Quantity," will title aa address by Jack M. Campbell, Camp-bell, President of the Federation Fed-eration of Rocky Mountain Moun-tain States. He was Governor Gov-ernor of New Mexico from 1963-1966. Campbell will address the noon luncheon lunch-eon on Oct. 1. The General Membership meeting will hear remarks concerning the broad range ran-ge of opportunities for large scale oil development in the Rockies, by Dr. Dan N. Miller, Wyoming State Geologists. Thirteen RMOGA committees com-mittees will meet during the three-day convention, many of them offering outstanding out-standing speakers on a variety of subjects. . Fi-ank D. Burton, Chevron Chev-ron Oil Company, will discuss dis-cuss "Computerization of Corporate Records" with the Tax Committee. The Legal Committee will learn about "Legal Aspects As-pects of Ecology on Oil Shale Development" from John Tweeddy. Denver attorney. at-torney. The subject of oil spills is the topic for John M. Rademacher, Regional Director, Di-rector, Federal Water Pollution Pol-lution Control Administration, Administra-tion, to the Environmental Affairs Committee. The Public Lands Committee Com-mittee agenda features remarks re-marks from Harrison Loes-ch, Loes-ch, Assistant Secretary, Public Land Management, U. S. Department of the Interior. The "Public Land Law Review Commission Report" Re-port" will be the subject of a panel at the Legislative Legisla-tive Committee with four outstanding panelists taking tak-ing part. |
