Show Sego Reunion Draws 300 Over Weekend A reunion of the people who had lived and worked at Sego, now a ghost town, was held last weekend at the Thompson School. About 300 people attended and enjoyed a covered dish lunch, according ac-cording to Mrs. Verona Stocks. A prize was given to the oldest person present and was received by James Cir-ilio, Cir-ilio, who is 83. Mr. Cir-illo Cir-illo came to Utah in 1937 The second oldest man there ,was Paul Oliver who was just three days younger than Mr. Cirillo. Mr. Oliver had worked in Sogo from 1919 to 1927, and now lives in Orem. In 1925, Mr Oliver suffered a broken back in an accident at the Sego coal mine. A prize for the largest family fa-mily present at the Sego reunion re-union went to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Palacios with nine children. chil-dren. The Palacios and Mrs. Margaret Hernandez also won the prize for the longest long-est distance traveled, 1,000 miles from San Jose and Melpitos, Calif, respectively. |
