' ' ' Arches reported an increase in-crease of one per cent over August of last year with visitors vis-itors increasing from 30,759 a year ago to 31,372 this year. Visitors for the year showed an increase of 25 per cent from 103,855 to 130,698. Natural Bridges National Monument showed an increase in-crease of 10 per cent for the month, and 9 per cent for the year to date. . In the Park, Island in the Sky reported an increase of 11 per cent for the month of August, from 2,714 to 3,017. A four per cent increase in visitors for the year to date was also -noted. - The Needles section, which showed the ,only decrease, was down one per cent from 917 at this' time a year ago to 904 for the past month. Down 9 per cent for the year, Needles again showed the only drop in attendance. All sections showed large numbers of visitors camping within the park and monuments. monu-ments.
