Show Long-Time Resident Dies In Colorado A long time resident of Moab, Mrs. Matilda Max-well, Max-well, 82, widow of long-time Grand County Assessor and livestockman, Albert Maxwell, Max-well, passed away in a Grand Junction rest home on Sunday, August 31, of a lingering illness. Mrs. Maxwell was born August 29, 1887, in Epliraim. In May of 1905, she married Albert "Cap" Maxwell here in Moab. He died in 1965. Mrs. Maxwell was a member mem-ber of the LDS Church and is survived by one son, Philander Philan-der "Bud" Maxwell, and by one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy "Tods" Robertson, both of Moab. Other survivors include a brother, N. S. "Butch" Christen Chris-ten of Moab; three sisters, Mrs. Leona Maxwell, Casper, Wyo.; Mrs. Thelma Tangren, California; and Mrs. Maggie Taylor of Salt Lake City. Also Al-so surviving arc four grandchildren grand-children and eight greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren Funeral services for Mrs. Maxwell were held on Wednesday, August 27, at 2:30 p.m. at graveside in the Grand Valley Cemetery under un-der direction of the Turner Funeral Home ( |
