Show Bring Vegetation to the Desert Ss Current Aim at Greenwell Motel Another step in the development devel-opment of the new Green-well Green-well Motel in Moab was the "new look" given to the recently re-cently constructed units by the installation of various trees and shrubs around the area. "Bringing vegetation tation to the desert" was one of the primary concerns of Dr. Sam Olivetto, owner of the motel. Dr. Olivetto also owns a motel under the same name in Price. A new sprinkling system was installed in-stalled before the planting begm. Managing the motel for Dr. Olivetto are Mr. and Mrs. Verdell Larsen from Wells, Nevada. Mr. Larsen was in the service statoin business in Wells before coming to Moab. "Moab was a good place to be the year around ' good winter climate" commented com-mented Mr. Larsen, who also al-so indicated that he and his wife, Nola, are. enjoying Moab. The Larsens are re-sidng re-sidng at the motel, and have been in. the community since the first part of June. Construction is still continuing con-tinuing .on the new swimming swim-ming pool, which is approximately approx-imately 70 per. cent complete, com-plete, according to Dr. Olivetto. Oli-vetto. He indicated that the pool should be readvfor use in a corbie" of weeks. This should help with the rental of the units, said Mr. Larsen. Lar-sen. "Many people come in, find there is no pool, apologize apolo-gize quietly, and go lo another an-other motel." The new restaurant is mov- ing along, but will possibly be built by early fall. The motel itself is complete except ex-cept for the gift shop area.f Dr. Olivetto is optimistic about the new Moab facility. He commented that when the motel was built, he wanted . to "create a nice atmosphere and render the best of service ser-vice for the people in Moab and for those on the highways. high-ways. The Greenwell facilities facil-ities are built in much the same design as his facility in Price. . Both motels are recognized rec-ognized by the Best Western Association. |
