Show DRAMA PRODUCTION By Margie Snyder The Grand County High School drama department's depart-ment's production of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," played the evenings of the 19th and 20th of April, and was a fine silccess. Both play-ings play-ings received good audiences audi-ences and required drama funds were acquired from ticket sales. The title role of Tom Sawyer was played by Charlie Gonzales who gave an excellent portrayal portray-al of the mischievous character. Huckleberry Finn was played by Ron Wells. Sid Sawyer was played by Shawn Knut-son. Knut-son. Teresa Springer gave a convincing performance as Aunt Polly. Bobby Stocks and Patty Ames were double cast as Becky Thatcher. The remainder of the cast also gave fine performances. The play was full of laughter and fun and was very enjoyable for the audiences. The director, Wendell Bowthorpe, commented, com-mented, "It has a little drunk scene that is just a gem!" The production concluded with a "smash-in?" "smash-in?" cake scene. |
