Show Moab Members Attended Legion Meeting in Price The District Meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary was held last Saturday in Price with several local representatives representa-tives attending. The local group received a $5 (first place) award for their President Report. After a joint luncheon with the American Legion, District President Lucie Cook and Nellie Beyler showed the assembly the 1976 Bicentennial Bicenten-nial quilt that was made by Moab's members. The State Commander asked permission to display the quilt at the Auxiliary's National Convention. Conven-tion. The scrap book was taken by State President Francis Funk to display at the State Convention at Ogden in June; the quilt will also be on display there. It was announced the federal legislature cannot halt the Boys and Girls State program because they do not come under national fundinR The District voted to keeD the same slate of officers for , second year and no election will take place this year. The next District Meeting will be held in Moab-thanks to loca) Legionaires who attended Beulah Anderson and Bill Green. The program was presented by the band from College of Eastern Utah.
