Show i Center director named . . . I ; Mrs. Barbara Ing, local educator, has been selected as the director ; ' ' of the new Moab Teacher's Center. Mrs. Ing will begin her duties as ; ; ; ; soon as a replacement can be found for her present teaching position at ! 1 ; the Middle School. ; ! A committee made up of local educators and administrators ! ! screened many' applications before choosing Mrs. Ing, who was ' ' involved in obtaining the necessary funding for the center from the U. ; ; ; ; S. Office of Education. I ; ! The center itself, one of sixty established nationwide, is being ; ; ! developed to help local teachers with curriculum, learning materials, ', ; ; ; educational problems, and sharpening teaching skills. Initially Mrs. Ing ' I expects to be working on curriculum projects and preparing j ; mini-workshops for teachers. With these projects underway, she hopes I ! ; to then begin building a professional library for teachers and obtaining ' ' 1 time off from school for teachers to work on special projects. ; : Mrs. Ing is enthused about the project. "I'm really pleased. I've' ' ', ', worked on this from the ground up. It's something we need in Moab." |
