Show Little League Football Getting Underway Now A full schedule of Little I.engue football will be offered of-fered Moab youngsters in the 4th, 5th and Cth grades, ft. was announced this week by summer recreation director, di-rector, Glen Richeson. Sign-up for play will be at the shed on the Little League ballfield this Monday, August Aug-ust 19, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Richeson said. It is hoped that at least four teams of 16 to 20 players can be put together to compete com-pete during the next few months Last year, the first season a league of this type had been attempted in Moab, Mo-ab, the popular sport resulted result-ed in three teams playing football. Parents must . accompany the players to the little League Lea-gue field next Monday for the sign-up, the coach said. They must also sign releases before the youngsters can play, and provide pants, pads and helmets for the youthful ball players. Jerseys Jers-eys will be furnished by the department, he said. Richeson also stated that anyone interested in coaching coach-ing a team would be welcome, wel-come, and should contact him this week if they are interested. |
