Show New Licenses Needed Nbw For Fishing Tuesday, April 16, marked the start of the 1968 fishing and hunting license year and these new licenses are now in the hands of most license agents who will be able to meet the early demand from fishermen and spring turkey hunters. General appearance of the new licenses is the same as last year except for the color change to salmon for resident resi-dent and light green for nonresident non-resident licenses. Deer tags and goose tags are unchanged for 1968. License Lic-ense numbers on the combination combin-ation and deer licenses are larger this year in an effort ef-fort to provide a more readable read-able number for law enforcement enforce-ment purposes. Last year's overall drop in the number of licenses sold ;s expected to change as the hunters and fishermen accept the changes made in the fees and licnse types in 1967 and return to their old patterns of purchasing licenses, Fish and Game officials believe. Those first time juvenile hunters 12 and over who are planning on purchasing a hunting license should get enrolled en-rolled in a hunter safety course as soon as possible so they will be eligible to purchase pur-chase a license when the fall hunts begin. |
