Show Girl Scout Senior Conference Scheduled Here This Week Senior Conference 1967, dubbed "Canyonlands Kaleidoscope," Kal-eidoscope," this year, will vpe npproxima'ely fifty-five fifty-five Senior Scouts and advisors ad-visors traveling to Moab June 8th through the 11th A two-day excursion on the Colorado River is th3 1 central activity of the confelrmce, a trip that !will be taken with Tex McClatchey through "Tex's Colorado River Cruises." Girls from as far as Calif, and some as close as Price will be in attendance. attend-ance. Arrival time is set at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8th. The local high school will be used , as lodging quarters for conference guests on that night. Dinner Din-ner is being served by the Moab Elks Lodge, after which a movie on Canyon-lands Canyon-lands will be shown at the Lions Park. ' i The trip with Tex will begin in the morning June 9th from the Moab dock. jScouters will have a chance to view the canyon can-yon country from the river, riv-er, hike ' to an arch, take a trip through a petrified forest and enjoy lunch in a cave. That night will be spent in the "Heart of the iCanyonlands.v Returning to Moab the following day by way of the Moab Jeep Posse, girls will ee Lathrop Canyon, the rim country and stop for lunch at Dead Horse Point. That night, again at Jthe high school, Scouts will take part in a capping ceremony for all new Sen-oirs, Sen-oirs, dinner will be furn ished by the Neighborhood Neighbor-hood Committee, and the symbolic "Scouts' Own", will end the evening.
