I - - ' " Moab Boy Scouts and leaders are shown preparing for one of their flag ceremonies held during the namp-o-ree last weekend at Mule Shoe Canyon. Boy Scout Fall Camp-0-Ree Held Recently Near Moab The Boy Scouts of America, Am-erica, from the Utah Na tional Parks Council, in Moab held their annual Fall Camp-O-Ree, November Novem-ber 10th and 11th at Mule Shoe Canyon. ' Bruce Black, Camping and activities chairman for Moab, announced that tljf: camp began Friday afternoon after-noon , with . the troop checking in, setting up camp, and fixing supper. ' At 8:00 p.m. Mr. Black conducted the evening campfire with each troop putting on a skit along with singing .. and story telling. , Saturday began with the Sun as the Scouts fixed breakfast, prepared for camp inspection and the activities of Physical Fitness Fit-ness that they would . be working on. The Scouts then worked on the Phys-ica Phys-ica Fitness merit madge by running through thl following events: Baseball throw, 1 shot put, dodge run, patatpe race, pull ups push ups, sack race, sit ups, jump and reach. standing broad jump, tire run, log throw. Stephen Perry, District Scout Executive, then a-. a-. warded, ribbons to the ' three top troops at the camp; with American Le- gon Troop 804 coming out - on 'top winning the Presidents Presi-dents Ribbon. T. ' G. S.'s Troop 317 came in second with V St. ' Francis Episco- ' pal , Troop taking 3rd. . O-ther O-ther troops . at the camp were;. Moab' 1st ward Troop 316, Moab 2nd Ward Troop 310, and Moab 3rd Ward', Troop 803. ed it up and ran untouched the remaining two yards for the final score.
