At 8:15 p.m., 9 miles south of Moab on Highway 160, Richard Leonard, of Cortez, ran into a 300 lb. steer calf with his . 1955 Chevrolet station wagon. The calf, belonging to Roy Holyoak was killed; Leonard's Leon-ard's station wagon was damaged an estimated $150-$200, according to investigatng officer, Scot Skidmore, Utah State Highway Patrolman. Leon ard was uninjured. No citation ci-tation was issued. At 6:45 p. m. Friday, 15 miles south of Moab.Floyd Batns, of Grand Junction, driving a 1965 GMC tractor trac-tor van belonging to the Snowboy Apple Company, struck a cow owned by George White. The truck" was damaged an estimated $150; the cow, also valued at $150, was killed. Vatns was not injured. The accident ac-cident was investigated by Utah State Highway Patrolman Pat-rolman Scot Skidmore. No citation was issued. |
