| Show OIL WELL REPAIR 9 t the utah garage machine company owned by clay davis and E J griffith on monday received forty two tons of oil well machine shoo equipment the machinery Is how be ing brought to moab from thomp sons and is being assembled in the garage on G street the machine shop will ba placed in operation at once E J griffith who re bently formed a partnership with clay davis has moved his entire shop equipment from osasc wyo to moan ond that the equip maent includes everything that can possibly be needed in oil well repair work mr griffith was accompanied from wyoming by E L griffith electric welder and P E dunn machinist and joint turner mr griffith is himself a thorough machinist ch inist and will have charge of the shops mr davis will be manager of the company the equipment includes two lathes one for for big oil field work electric and acetylene welding outfits temples tem of all sizes steam hammer boiler repair equipment blacksmith mg outfit and everything usually found in a large machine shop electric power will be used with an auxiliary steam plant which can be pu in commission in emergencies part of the equipment including lathes and welding outfits will b in operation by next and the company expects to have the entire machine shop ready for work by the first of february an addition to the garage building will be constructed to house part of the machinery the utah garage machine corn pany has an announcement elsewhere in this edition telling of their plans and the service they have to offer the mutual improvement association gave a party at the ward recreation hall wednesday evening in honor of mr and mrs john F shafer who were recently married games were played after which refreshments fresh ments were served the mu duals presented mr and mrs shafer with a floor lamp and the beehive girls of whom mrs shafer has charge presented her with a silverware set |
