Show FOE MOTHERS' DAY PROGRAM MONDAY-AT MONDAY-AT m. HALL Plans were completed this week for the local Eagles' 21st annual Mothers' day program to be given next Monday evening, May 10 at 8 p.m. at BCO hall. Chairman of the annual event is Bert A. Hocking and the pro-cram pro-cram is being arranged by Mrs. II. R. Gust. Also assisting with arrangements are the Eagles auxiliary. aux-iliary. John J. Creedon will act as master of ceremonies. The program arranged includes the following: Posting of colors by Boy Scouts; pledge of allegiance to the flag; song "Star Spangled Banner by audience, accompanied accompan-ied by Gerry Shilling; invocation invoca-tion by Mrs. William Ablett; accordion ac-cordion duet by Philip and Phyllis Phyl-lis Sanderson; welcome by Mr. Creedon; vocal duet by Darlene and Maurine Morley, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. C. A. Morley; recitation recita-tion "No One Like Mother" by Lee Sturgill; violin duet and song "When Autumn Bids Summer Sum-mer Goodbye" by Milt Mann and son; piano solo by Dick Carter; Mothers day address will be given by Mrs. Ed Howard; vocal solo "A Little Old Lady" by Harry Har-ry Manos, accompanied by Roberta Ro-berta Johnston; trumpet solo by Norman Doman; musical reading read-ing "Childhood Days" by Mrs. Odell Peterson, accompanied by Maurine Morley; song "Mother MaCree" by girls double trio, accompanied ac-companied by Lois Groves; recitation reci-tation "God Bless You Mother" by Pat Creedon; flute solo by Gerry Shilling, accompanied by Miss Groves; baritone solo by Don Gust, accompanied by Miss Shilling- violin duet and song "Bake That Chicken Pie" by Milt Mann and son; vocal solo by Kaye Abplanalp; closing prayer by Mrs. Zina Ball; retiring retir-ing of colors by Boy Scouts and taps by Don Gust. Small individual cakes and a small potted flower plant will be given to each mother present. The public are cordially invited to attend. |
