Show MOTHERS' DAY PROGRAM GIVEN FOR MICHURCH Mothers' day will be recognized recogniz-ed and observed by the Sunday school in a program being arranged ar-ranged by the superintendent, Mrs. Anna Bilbao, for presentation presenta-tion Sunday, May 9 at 10 a.m. "The World's Great Mothers", will be the theme for the regular church service at 11 o'clock and the sacred rites of baptism will also be administered and opportunity oppor-tunity for church membership. The Sunday school Mothers' day program arranged includes the following: Invocation bv Mrs. Bilbao: poems "To Mother" by Nikki Jimas and "Nobody Knows But Mother" by Joan Pasquali; Mothers' Mo-thers' day song by primary children; chil-dren; "God Made A Wonderful Mother" by Ronald Bliven, "Are You" by Eddie Geiger, "Which Loved Mother Best" by verse speaking choir composed of Johnny Goris, Francis Visarraga and Joan Murano; special Mothers' Moth-ers' day music, Darlene and Maurine Mau-rine Morley, accompanied by their mother, Mrs. C. A. Morley; tribute to mother; "She Has No Occupation" by Jane Mochizuki; ! presentation of flowers; "Faith of Our Mothers" sung by juniors, intermediates, seniors and adults of the Sunday school, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. E. G. Ball and benediction. bene-diction. Copperton will also observe Mothers day in a program under the direction of Superintendent Mrs. Pearl Knudsen with appropriate appro-priate exercises and special music. mu-sic. Rites of baptism and church membership will also be administered admin-istered at this service beginning at 9:30 a.m. A Mothers day service ser-vice will also be a part of the Sunday school program at Cop-perfield Cop-perfield where Mrs. Thelma Barrett Bar-rett is so splendidly carrying on. Honor mother's memory in church somewhere next Sunday. Women's Society of Christian Service will serve dinner at 12 noon Friday in the church. The last quarterly conference of the church year will be held Tuesday Tues-day evening, Mav 18 at 8 o'clock. COPPERTON COMMUNITY CHURCH MOTHERS' DAY PROGRAM Copperton Community church Sunday school will hold their Mothers' day program Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. at Copper-ton Copper-ton grade school. The following program has been arranged: opening op-ening hymn by congregation; prayer by Rev. Wilton; Mothers day address by Rev. Wilton; baptismal bap-tismal ceremony and receiving members into the church; choir, "I'll Wear a White Rose", with Patty Lee Fike soloist; "Two Nice People" by Sally Gillam; "Its Funny" by Susan Gillam; "Wishes Are Prayers" by Emerson Emer-son Boyd and Clyde Gillam Jr.; piano solo by Gerry Shilling; 1 Am So Glad That Jesus Loves Me" sung by congregation with children's chorus; "The Rarest and Best", Arthur Boyd, Roy C. Hatch, Harold Jenkins, Robin Coward. Bill Fike and Dee Lay-cock; Lay-cock; "Mother", Joyce Jackson and Freddie Fike; piano solo by Patricia Whiteley; "If I Was the Fellow" by Bob Sonne and Jimmy Jim-my Fike; song "Mother's Love by Sandra Laycock, Audrey Ann Sumnicht, JoAnn Rasmussen and Shirley Sonne and Patty Lee Fike at the piano; "A Very Special Spe-cial Day" by Joan Fike; God Bless Us All" by Tina Hatch, presentation of flowers to motn-ers motn-ers and benediction. |
