The month will be used to pay tribute to the organization and to solicit funds for its operation during 1950-51. Howard W. Price of Salt Lake-City Lake-City has been named fund chairman chair-man in Salt Lake county by James Jam-es W. Wade, chapter chairman. With several hundred volunteer workers he has been charged with the task of raising $98,750, the county quota. The quota is the same as last year and has been held at that figure in face of rising costs of supplies and services, by rigid economies of the chapter. Max M. DuBois is chairman for Bingham. Mr. Price has named chairmen in the various communities of the county, who will direct the local activities of the drive. In view of the same quutj this year as last, Mr. Price has asked all to give generously, but at least give as much this year as last, and the full operation of the many Red Cross services will be assured. On Sunday, March 5, at the request of the First Presidency of the L. D. S. Church Red Cross Sunday will be observed at L. D. S. services, and an appeal from the First Presidency will be read. Similar appeals were made last Saturday and Sunday to Jewish, Catholic and Protestant congregations. congre-gations. o |
