RITES DELAYED FOR MRS HICKS Funeral services serice for tot Mrs Mary Hicks 27 formerly of Salt Lake City who was found dead Tuesday in the gas filled gas gas-fied kitchen of her apartment in Cambridge Mass Mas were being held in abeyance Wednesday pending word from her parents Dr and Mrs E. E M. M of Salt Lake City The who left here in NoVember November November No No- vember for a trip abroad w wire were re notified no no- of the tragedy in n Ciro Cairo Egypt The Te family came to Salt Lake City from Castlegate when Mrs Hicks was a child She had graduated from Westminster college college college col col- lege here and from Ml Mills college at Oakland Cal Cal where she served as student body president in her senior year She was a member of the Junior league and the First Presbyterian Presbyterian Presbyterian Pres Pres- church in Salt Lake City Following her graduation from Mills college she had spent a year yer 1 in Europe and then had gone to Cambridge to accept a secretarial position She met Dr Hicks while in Cambridge and they were married married mar mar- ried Fled March 30 1935 Surviving are her former husband husband husband hus hus- band a 2 year old old ear son her parents parent and a sister Mrs Frances J Johnston Johnston Johns Johns- ton of Dallas Dalas Texas
