H Blood Douglas l Site o of Earliest Irrigation In Utah Memorialized Again I II I Ground which was broken in 1847 for the first irrigation in Utah but upon which now stands a modern streamlined structure was remembered again Tuesday night ight at a dedicatory ceremony In the lobby of the new Centre theater which is on the site where pioneers first turned water on to the he land in Utah a a. bronze tablet bearing earing tribute to the pioneers was dedicated for the second time by bythe bythe the ic Daughters of the American Revolution The plaque had been removed when the old Knutsford hotel otel building was razed to make way for the new theater 1 Governor Henry H. H Blood paid tribute to the pioneers and the D.A. D.A. D. D A. A R. R and Mrs Robert W W. Fisher regent of Spirit of Liberty chapter D. D A. A R. R told the history of the plaque Also present was Mrs Ralph E. E Bristol of Sandy who as national vice president dedicated the plaque in its original location on July 23 1931 Mrs O. O A.
