Lions Lions' Club Works V V on Bathing Site i FARMINGTON May 29 29 Twenty Twenty members of ot the Farmington Lions I V club under the leadership of ot President President dent Horace Van Fleet spent one day day in Jn volunteer work at the bathIng bathIng bath- bath Ing lug site located south of ot Farmington near lear Glovers Glover's lane lanc The club has been sponsoring the free bathing project reject A pier of rock and cement Is 3 under construction which will be 70 feet long 4 feet wide and 2 feet thick when completed A retaining wall will be built bunt out to the pier an and the space be filled with I beach sand The pier will be finished finished fin- fin shed by June Iff 15 according to present present present pres- pres pres pres- ent plans Last summer the thc club spent several set hundred dollars drillIng drill- drill Ing ng for fresh water Shower rooms with fresh water are now available A prize for the best name for the bathing site is being offered by the club dub V
