W Shores is a mighty popular man these days Hardly Hard Ilard- ly Jy y a day passes but that some of the persons who have applications in for jobs on the police force show up and lurk in the hall ball of the public safety building until the chief appears when they rush up to him shake his hand I fervently and then ask how soon they shall order their uniforms Inasmuch as there are only about positions on the police force and there are applications on file someone someone someone some some- one is going to be disappointed because to take care of third one-third of ot the applicants applicants applicants cants would necessitate firing the tha whole department even to Bunjo Both Mayor Ferry and Chief Shores I Intimate that the whole department will not be fired tired
