TRACY racy WILL ILL START WORK SOON ON BUILDING Returns From Coast With New Ideas for Modern Structure Russel L L. Tracy returned to Salt Lake t today day from a trip through California California California Cali Cali- fornia and announced that work would be started shortly on the erection of the new home for the Tracy Loan Trust company at Main street on the site of the building now occupied by the Salt Lake Electric Supply company company com corn pany and several smaller shops While on the coast Mr Tracy vis I banking and trust company rooms in San Francisco Los Angeles Angeles' and San Diego and secured ideas which will be embodied in the building to I be erected by his concern I here The building when completed will provide one of the most modern and up t to date dale banking and trust company establishments establishments establishments establish establish- ments in the West Mr l Tracy was unable to say at this time what amount would be expended in the erection of the building but said that no expense would be spared to put in a building that would be a credit to Salt Lake The entire structure structure steno steno- ture will be used exclusively by the time Tracy company I found business conditions exceedingly exceedingly ex ex- good on the Pacific coast said Mj Mr Tracy We all expected that there would be some reaction in tho the thoI I coast cities following the close of the I expositions expositions- but this was a wrong idea If anything business is better today in San Francisco and other California cities than it was a a. year ago While the time southern part of the state i is suffering to some extent from the tile floods which wrecked the districts a month ago the people with the truly California spirit are arc coming back and are rebuilding better than ever Everyone is cheerful and hopeful hopeful hopeful hope hope- ful and most optimistic We Ve went into San Diego on en tho the first train operated into that city after a of the thirty one days and found th the people there in the best of spirits The railroads still are operating operating ing lug ov over temporary tracks and bridges but tile the work of rebuilding permanent structures is progressing rapidly and conditions will be normal ere ore long
