Show of tap. Many people do not appreciate ap-preciate a good dancer, aa they do not understand that it is an art of great skill and technique. Science is knowing, Art is doing. Dancing is the modeling form of culture. Those who have the courage and strength to learn dancing arc the most capable members of the human family. Those who thirst for knowledge have the capacity of listening, and the ability to concentrate. Those who do not have anything to do waste loads of energy killing kill-ing time, and m the end become sorry examples of premature decay. de-cay. Where fear is. Art is not. Care should be exercised in the selection of a dancing teacher, because a real success depends on a real start. Be sure the one you .select can give you a good start and build a finished dancer. PARENTS The dance studio is still a finishing fin-ishing school, because it does make fine ladies and gentlemen out of crude and awkward human hu-man beings. All the arts are a stimulant to higher mentality, but : dancing is also physical and moral. mo-ral. Those who ' carouse every night cannot master dancing, the rise and fall in past civilizations prove that humanity will spend its free hours in the finer arts, or go the way of Babolyn. America with her many new problems, especially es-pecially that of leisure times, is facing a crisis and she will go to the arts of destruction. Dancing is therefore more necessary now than ever before, and, if destruction destruc-tion is to be averted, it will be done mainly through dancing. Because there is no other single force strong enough to do it. Dancing Dan-cing is the only art, education, or discipline that is complete. Thinkers Think-ers realize this and are its strongest strong-est advocates and best patrons. A well trained and concientious dancing master that is intelligent, is today more necessary to the physical, mental, and moral growth of communities than any one educator. I)AN( ING That is the difference between finished artists, and just plain jitter bugs. There is an army of good mechanical dancers in this country. Most of these students will never amount to more than just jitter bugs, because they can master the most technical combinations com-binations or steps, does not mean that they have the talent or are equal to a finished dancer. Eleanor Elea-nor Powell and Fred A .taiie in my opinion, are two of the finest dancers in the world. Their marvelous mar-velous grace, rhythm, and poise is the very essence of finest. They can do very intricate and technical techni-cal steps or combinations and not only make them look simple, but easy. They are also actress and actor. When you see them working work-ing on the .screen, you can notice them interpret a series of moods. They are creative artists and have j the genius for expressing feeling. feel-ing. You never see them in a show without seeing them act while they dance. Their magnetism magne-tism and personality reaches out across the stage, over the foot lights from the screen, and gets the audience. These inner qualities quali-ties cannot he had through dazz-ing dazz-ing costumes, flashy steps, or lots of practice. Real talent, with mag netism, personality and technique techni-que of the art, is essential to a finished dancer. 1 suggest to Am- Everything from a Facial to a Permanent The finith of your cor con be kept sparkling nw by a little care.
