Tha building will fare Thirteenth East between Eighth South and Ninth South streets, overlooking the valley. The first work to be done will be th grading of the ground, contract or which has boea let to Raleigh and Harmon. They bare a large fore of men and teama at work. Something over a year ago the Anerbach interests purchsaed the corner then occupied by the Halle hotel, a two-story building. This waa torn down several months ago and ex eavetion started for the new department depart-ment store. Then came a hitch in the plant of the company which was not finally straight ened out until a thort time ago. Thil week the company announced that it was rrsdv to go forwsrd with Ha olana of erecting one of ths finest depsrtmcnt stores to be found in the west. Plana Ar Extended. Since the original plant for the build ing were dMwn several changes have been made, at tha request of th owners, own-ers, who have.visited practically every big department stors in tb country gathering ideas and information for th nw bnilding. On account of the change in tha plans, it ia necessary to make a further excavation for the foundation. foun-dation. These plant have been changed for a concrete building which will be fireproof. Th building will have a frontage of 165 feet Third Booth street and 205 feet on 8tat street, giving a floor space of over live timet that of the present quarters of the company oa Main street. The front of the building will be of erar brick aad terra eotta. There will be three entrance, one on Third South, one at th comer, and th third on btat street.
