The first few days of my home visits the people were afraid of me. They hid their children and the eipectant mothers concealed themselves Now they are beginning to realise the good of the puerlculture center. "On June II last thsre wre four babies needing attention. Two of them were full of acablea and two had fever and were afflicted with Itch. They first thing I did was f give them tepid sponge balks, then castor oil. because thelt tongura were auoted. The parents of the children were frightened . because they eeld they never bathe patlenta when they have fever. When I vie-Ited vie-Ited them four days later they were all getting along nicely and now the motnere are kind to me and tell other people how I cured their babies." -" ;i |
