Show CHICAGO PRODUCE. CHICAGO. April 10. Wheat today was firm on active demand by leading commission com-mission houses for the July delivery. The buying was chiefly due to the continued absence of rain in Kansas and Nebraska. May opened 10 Jc to 10gc higher, at 771c, sold off to 76Jc, and th,en rallied to 771c Commission houses were active bidders for corn, but offerings were light and a firm tone prevailed. There was an excellent ex-cellent demand for cash' grain. May opened 1 to 1c higher, at 46046Jc. There was a good general demand for July and September oats, which caused firmness. May opened unchanged to 1c higher, at 42J42ic, and sold at 43c. Provisions were quiet but firm. The market was affected principally by a 5 10c advance In the price of live hogs. May pork opened 6c higher, at $16,071. Lard was up 5c, at $8.80, and ribs were 5c higher, at $S.60.
