Show 1 HROUGH TRHfTIC ON SALT LH ROUTE TO RESUME TOMORROW V The Salt Lake Eoute will be open through tomorrow. Train No. 1 leaving here tomorrow night at 9 o'clock will run through to Los Angelea and train No. 2 leaving Los Angeles will ran through to this city, thus establishing short communication between the two cities after a period of six weeks resulting re-sulting from one of the heaviest rains of years in the dry region of Nevada. The Los Angeles Limited will be resumed re-sumed a few days after the opening 7 and all will be moving along the popular popu-lar line within a week or ten davs. Among the important matters will be to clean up the freight blockade, and to this end a systematic campaign will be inaugurated. All freights delayed this side of Las "Vegas will be rushed to that point, where they will be segregated segre-gated and made up into long trains, which will be put into California terminal ter-minal on passenger schedules. This is possible, owing to the good track and low grades in that district, and the fact that the line below Moapa was not reached by the washnut. At this end of the line the company has twelve new and immense engines fresh from the factory and they will be put into service at once to clear up the accumulated freight along the road. Following this clean-up the road will handle the oranges and vegetables from southern California. Lillian Russell will use the line, leaving leav-ing for Los Angeles Saturday night, the train to be held until midnight. An excursion ex-cursion will be started April 26 with a $30 round trip rate to Los Angeles. |
