Show WILSON'S GOOD FORTUNE. George Wilson, one of the practical mining mi-ning men of Utah that went to the diggings dig-gings of Nevada during the- early stages of development work in the sagebrush State, came In from the Rosebud camp yesterday, loaded down with patents for some of the best properties In that neck of the woodsy Wilson is known ss an exceptionally. ex-ceptionally. clever mining man. and as he has a wide circle of acquaintances in this State, it will be pleasing news to all who know him -to learn of his good fortune, for it is said that his holdings fn this camp alone represent a market value of at least $1,000,000. In speaking of that wonderfully mineralized min-eralized sone this morning Wilson aald that there were a great many fortunate miners in Rosebud for the reason that i there had been such a rich exposure of ore almost at grass roots In a number of properties. The Brown Palace and the Dreamland were among the first groups that showed anything of the wealth of the camp, but recently there have been so many ore bodies uncovered that It is no uncommon occurrence to hear of some new ledges being cut Into by the army of prospectors that have taken up the ground for miles around the original locations loca-tions in Rosebud. A great many Salt Lake mining men have become Interested in the Rosebud Rose-bud district, and at present there Is quite a colony of Salt Lakers on the ground. Every effort Is being made to rush development devel-opment work on almost all of the ground In the district and the prospects for an unprecedented showing in a short period are indeed bright. There are several propJ cities that have sufficient ore in sight to make respectable shippers, though the ramp Is only a few months' old, and the richness of the ore is such that the camp promises to-be one of the sensations of Nevada before the summer season closes. |
