For going away the bride eho.se a stunning white suit accented by black velvet haot and accessories, Mist Bonnie Jean Johnson and J. Burton Durnford Wed In Home Rites Salmon and white gladiolus and white carnations illuminat-ed by glowing candlelight from tapers in tall candalabra formed the romantic setting on Wednes-day evening, June 21, for the lovely home rites which united in marriage Miss Bonnie Jean Johnson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood T. Johnson, and J. Burton Durnford, son of L. L. Durnford of Midvale. The home of the bride's par- - ents was the scene of the impres- - sive double-rin- g ceremony which was solemnized by Bishop Clin- - ton S. Jtohison of Bingham LDS ward. While soft organ music play- - i'd by Mrs. George Austin filled the rooms with the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, the charming bride entered on the arm of her father, breath-takin- g in a gown of white slipper satin fashioned with long tapering sleeves fastened with miniature satin covered buttons, a tiny Johnny collar and yoke of nylon net encircled with a bertha of imported venise lace hand em-broidered with pearls, a fitted bodice also trimmed with minia-ture satin covered buttons and bouffant skirt which formed in-to a cathedral train. Her finger tip veil of bride's illusion cas-caded from an exquisite crown of seed pearls and she carried a tiny white Bible marked with a deep-lippe- d white orchid and lilies of the valley. Attendants were Mrs. E. L. Barnett, sister of the groom, ma-tron of honor; Miss Fay Apostal, maid of honor; Mrs. J. Richard Thomson and Miss MaReen Nel-son, all of which were identical-ly gowned in models of soft pink taffeta and carried nosegays of pink roses and white carnations with satin streamers to which white stephanotis were attached. Standing with the bridegroom was E, L. Barnett, who perform-ed duties of the best man. As-sisting as usheers were Howard Hausknecht, Thomas Johnson, brother of the bride, and Edward Tobiason. Immediately following the ceremony, the newlyweds re-- , ceived congratulations at a beau-- i tilul reception in their honor in Bingham LDS ward chapel. Greeting guests were Mr. and Mrs. Elmo A. Nelson and Mrs. J. L. Thomson. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Johnson chose a vely mo-del of pale green taffeta compli-mented by a corsage of softly tinted Dink eardenias. Miss Beverly Beard was in charge of the guest book, while Miss Virginia Harris presided in the tea room which was beauti-fully decorated with arrange-ments of summer flowers. Cen-tering the lace covered table was a lovely wedding cake graced on either side by tall white tapers in crystal candalabra. Serving were Muss Dorothy Gerbich, Miss Janice Hocking, Muss Jeniel Bor-on, Miss Marilyn Thorne and Miss Helen Zampos, who were lovely in formats of pastel shad-es. Mr. and Mrs. J. Lynn Booth, Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Curtis and Mr. and Mrs. Don Deakin were in charge of the gift room.
