Show GRAND CHAPTER 0. E. S. ELECTS NEWjlFFICERS Mrs. May P. Simpson of Logan Heads Slate Mrs. Msy P. Simpson of Logan was elected worthy grand matron of the grand chapter of Utah, Order Or-der of Eastern Star, at the 34th annual convention Friday at the Masonic temple. Mrs. Simpson formerly was associate grand matron. ma-tron. Others elected were Joseph R. Mataon of Salt Lake City, worthy grand patron; Mrs. Blanche' D. Buck of Park City, associate grand matron; Charles A. Maly of Stockton, Stock-ton, associate grand patron; Mrs. Lloyd W. Hoskins of Salt Lake City, reelected grand secretary; Mrs. Myra B. Larick of Bingham, grand treasurer; Mrs. Hamer S. Culp of Salt Lake City, grand conductress; con-ductress; Mrs. Essie A. Neal of My ton, associate grand conductress, conduc-tress, and John H. Worthlngton of Ogden, grand sentinel. A welcome was extended by the order to Mrs. Anna Winston Smal-ley Smal-ley of Roundup, Mont, most worthy wor-thy grand matron of the general grand chapter, who is ranking officer offi-cer of the entire order in the United States and Canada. Mrs. Smalley was to speak at an afternoon after-noon session. A banquet will be held at 6:15 p. m., with Installation of new officers offi-cers at 8 p. m. William Llttlejohn of Salt Lake City, grand master of the grand lodge of Utah, Free and Accepted Masons, spoke at a meeting Thursday Thurs-day night. |
