That is what the children of Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Jacobsen did whan thev came to Salt Lake City to school recently. I Formerly of Salt Lake City and Ogden. part of the family came here recently after a ten-year stay In Australia, where Mr. Jacobsen is still employed as a metallurgl-engineer metallurgl-engineer for the llaa ML Isa Mines, , Ltd., Queensland, the Australia. ' , Mrs. Jacobsen Folks brought with her the two youngest children, Richard, 8, and Neva Mary, 6, who were born In Australia. Aus-tralia. "The children are looking forward for-ward to seeing their first snow," said Mrs. Jacobsen. There Is no cold weather In Queensland, so I suppose we will have to become reaccllmated." Three older children, Marjorie, 17; Darrell, IS, and Robert 14, returned to Utah two years ago to attend high school In Ogden. and Mrs. Jacobsen came this year to place her daughter In the University Univer-sity of Utah. "It's good to bs back." said Mrs. Jacobsen. "I find great pleasure In renewing acquaintances with the friends my husband and I knew at the University of Utah when we both attended there." The weather Is not so plessant here, but I hope we stay, anyway." any-way." Mrs. Jacobsen Is active In the Delphian society, snd the wives' auxiliary of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. |
