Several important stretches of road have been completed and bids 1 1 lor other work are either being j compiled or are to be advertised. , Under the 1940 program of fed-' fed-' eral aid funds, part of which has , been available for this fall's construction, con-struction, there has been avallsble , a total of 11,748,660 of federal funds for road work. W. W. Clyde of Sprtngvtlle Tuesdsy had been awarded a contract to construct 1.3 miles of road which will complete the Emigration and Parley's canyon loop connecting the two canyon highways. - The commission also awarded a . contract to Mr. Clyde for rebuilding rebuild-ing and modernizing a section of ' U. S. 30 south from Elwood to Haw's corner In Box Elder county. The bid was $75.975.25. |
