Show MILK AGENCY PENSJNSVER Says Attorney Did Not Show Credentials Charges were made Thursday that Warwick C Lamoreaux, Salt Lake attorney, has failed to show he Is an accredited representative of two milk producers' organizations, organiza-tions, although he has demanded access to records of the Salt Lake milk marketing area. Stewart Romney, secretary of the area administrative agency, made the charges In a letter filed with the state board of agriculture. The letter was In answer to complaints com-plaints of the Salt Lake Milk Producers' Pro-ducers' union and the Hi-Land Milk Producers' association that they have been barred from agency meetings and refused access to records, CemJders Reply The board was to consider the Romney reply Thursday afternoon. The administrative agency and the two producers' groups have been involved In warfare since the agency was set up by a state law. In his reply, Mr. Romney admitted ad-mitted he had refused on three occasions to give copies of minutes of meetings and records to Mr. Lamoreaux, but had read him figures fig-ures on payments to producers. "The charge, or Insinuation, as to the secretary's apparent Inclination Inclina-tion to conceal records of accounts from their (the producers' groups) representative Is absolutely true as long as the representative Is construed con-strued to mean only Mr. Lamoreaux," Lamor-eaux," the reply said. Ne Credential ' "At no time has Mr. Lamoreaux ever presented credentials establishing estab-lishing him as a representative of any producers' organization, despite de-spite the fact the secretary has asked him for credentials. I understand un-derstand Mr. Lamoreaux once was affiliated with the Salt Lake Milk Producers' union, but that his services ser-vices were dispensed with for the good of the Industry." Mr. Romney said he understood Mr. Lamoreaux represented the Hi-Land group, but the organization organiza-tion "at no time has cooperated with the agency or any of its orders or-ders relative to fair trade practices." |
