I i Severely Seared Victim Tumbles Off High Power Tower A le-year-old Salt Lake City boy was alive and apparently recovering recov-ering Monday after being jolted by 44,000 volts of electricity and falling SO feet from the top of a high tension power standard Bun-day Bun-day near Twenty-first West and Second South streets. According to witnesses, ths boy hsd climbed the steel work of a Utah Power and Liarht company high tension tower about 1 p. m. Sunday. Before ths horrified eyes of thi witnesses the victim, standing as ths top crossbar of the so-fool tower, leaned over-near a conductor wire. A brilliant electric are "popped" aa the boy wss enveloped In s sheet of searing flams and jolted backward back-ward off the tower aa the "juice" raced through his body. Falling through ths sir like a limp rag doll, the victim fall sprawling sprawl-ing to ths ground, but waa on his feet and leaning, semiconscious, sgainst ths base of the tower when the witnesses reached htm. Taken to the police emergency hospital, the boa injuries were diagnosed after part of his clothing, cloth-ing, burned to the flesh, was peeled from his body. After preliminary treatment he was transferred to the L. D. a hospital. His parents aaid he had left home about a. m. to take a walk or go to church and evidently had decided de-cided to hike through the country-aide country-aide west of ths city.
