Show Told You So The 8:15 commuters' train usually us-ually was tranquil and even restful. This one morning, though, a squalling squall-ing Infant kept the business men's nerves on edge. All efforts of the mother failed to stop the screeching. One man, who had been trying to concentrate on the problems that lay ahead for him, strolled back to the seat from which the commotion commo-tion was emanating and grimaced, whistled and did other things to amuse the child. The thunderstorm stopped very suddenly and the man walked back to his seat, proud of himself. Just as he neared his seat he heard the mother call to the child, "See? I told you the bogey man would get you if you didn't stop crying." |
