Show 0, U, P, MEETING OPENS SATURDAY Semiannual convention of the state central company of the Daughters' Daugh-ters' of Utah Pioneers will he held all day Saturday at the Hotel Utah. It had been announced. Friday by Mrs. Ida M. Ktrkham. president. Approximately 300 delegates are expected to attend the meeting, which will open at 10 a. m. Mrs. Ktrkham will be in charge. Invocation will be offered by Mrs. Emma Porter Walton, chaplain, which will be followed by the roll call and the president's address of welcome. Pioneer songs will be sung, after which short talks will be given giv-en by Mrs. Mary Deame. Fillmore: Mra. Leah Hatch. Kamaa; Mrs. Martha Clark and Mrs. Cornelia S. Lund. The aeasion at 1 p. m. will be opened with musical aelections by camp I and talks on the pioneer monuments at Deseret, Hurricane, Monroe and Utah county will be given. lessons for the year will be outlined by Mra. Kate B. Carter, second vice president, and publications publica-tions discussed by Mrs. Jeanetta Morrell, Ogden. Feature of the meeting will be a pioneer pageant by the Cache county coun-ty camp. |
