Mi-ginnis, Mi-ginnis, ons time Ogden and Salt Lake City attorney. Mr. Maglnnis served as the American Amer-ican envoy extraordinary to Bolivia from 1919 to 1922. He was appointed appoint-ed by President Warren G. Harding. Mr. Maglnnis, at tha time of his appointment, was a member of the local law firm of Mitchell and Maglnnis. Ma-glnnis. Bora In Zaneevtlle He was born in Zanesvllle, Ohio, October 23, 1885, and was educated at St Mary's college in Kansas. In 1909, while a resident of Ogden, he was admitted to tha Utah bar. The same year he moved to Salt Lake City and opened a partnership law office know aa Warner and Maglnnis. While he and his family resided here, Mr. Maglnnis served aa major Judge advocate of the Utah national guard and was a director of the general civilian committee in charge of the Citizens' Military Training camp at Fort Douglas in 1914. The following year be waa secretary, later chairman of the Salt Lake county public safety committee. Partnership Formed At the end of his term as minister, he moved to New York City and resumed re-sumed bis law practice. Meanwhile, he had formed a partnership with his brother, T. J. Maglnnis, former city attorney of Ogden. They also have a branch law office at Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. He married the former Miss Margaret Mar-garet McKenna of Fairfield, Ky April 29, 1914. They have three children. Known to many Salt Lakers and Utahns, Mr. Maglnnis' last visit here was in 193X |
