Show LIONS ENJOY MOTION PICTURES Twenty-three members and i seven guests were present at a meeting of the Bingham Canyon Lions club Tuesday evening, j Dinner was served at Bingham club cafe after which the group , enjoyed a program at Bingham Central school. Invited guests at the meeting were Arthur E. Peterson, Pe-terson, superintendent, Reed I Beckstt ad, assistant superintend-1 t nt, Orlin Newbold and Cyrus : Vaudrey, all of the Jordan district dis-trict board of education; Pete Carlson, representing the Uni versity of Utah, Eugene Chandler Chand-ler and Joel P. Jensen. T. H. McMullin was in charge of the program and introduced Mr. Carlson who showed the complete filming of the U. of U.Kentucky U.-Kentucky championship basketball basket-ball game of the eastern invitational invita-tional meet at Madison Square Garden of which the Utah team are the celebrated winners. Mr. Carlson also showed the filming of the U. of U.-San Francisco football game. Harold W. Nielsen introduced Supt. Peterson who outlined the equalization tax program passed in the last state legislature and its effect on the taxpayers of Jordan school district. dis-trict. Eugene Jenkins reported on the care of the trees which were planted Arbor day at the Bingham cemetery. O |
