Show MINERS WIN ONE AND LOSE ONE Bingham high school's baseball base-ball squad were defeated by the Granite high school squad 10-6 Monday. This practically eliminates elimin-ates the Bingham team from further fur-ther championship competition as they only play Granite one game in this year's schedule. Bingham played poor baseball on the field and committed about six errors that gave Granite five runs. Bingham's hitting fell below what was expected and Jack Knudsen on the mound was not . in too good a form. The fielding j of the Granite team and pitching of Eyre was the turning point of the game. Tuesday the Bingham squad defeated Cyprus high 11-1. Knudsen Knud-sen again was on the mound for Bingnam and ne pucnea gooa steady ball. He looked much better on the mound than he did the previous day. The hitting of I Crump, Jenkins, Pino and Cul-leton Cul-leton were the features of the game. Thursday (May I) the Miners played Murray high on the Bingham Bing-ham field. Last game of the I schedule will be next Tuesday, May 6 when Bingham travels to Jordan. o |
