BIDS Oil ARMY WORKJPENED HILL FIELD, Davis County-Bids County-Bids for drilling and easing a 30-Inch 30-Inch artesian well to supply water tor the Hill army air field at Sunset Sun-set were opened at field headquarters headquar-ters Wednesday by Major Elmer G. Thomas, construction quartermaster. quartermas-ter. Th bids will be forwarded to quartermaster general at Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, where the construction construc-tion contsact will b awarded later. The low -bid was mad by the Western Well Drilling company of San Jose, Cel.. at $8937.50. Other bids ranged as high as 123 400. Other bidders were H. W. Stoddard Stod-dard and Guy Snyder of Salt Lake City, H. M. and D. V. Robinson of Salt Lake City and Roscos Moss of Los Angeles. The well will be drilled to a depth of 650 feet.
