Ths ILWU Is fully organised oa tha west coast but its power ta prevent unloading of Hawaiian hips does not extend to the gulf or esst coasts. The Steal Flyer, however, was loaded by a new company, Hawaii Stevedores. Ltd, which wss formed since the strlks started. Ray Adelmeyer, president of Hawaii Ha-waii Stevedores, said the Steel Flyer carried SOOO tons of sugar and 1000 tons of general cargo. The veesel's scheduled sailing was kept a secret ta prevent possible pos-sible violence by pickets of the ILWU.
