Show Murray Seeks School Site MURRAY. June 29 After approving ap-proving a 1948-49 budget of nearly near-ly double that of this year, member mem-ber of the Murray school board of education were redoubling their efforts Tuesday to locate a new sit for the high school. The new budget calls for the expenditure of $171,700, an Increase In-crease of $193,385 over this year1 outlay. Of the total, the board earmarked $163,700 for building and addition to present structures. The budget cSlls for the expenditure expendi-ture of $275,885 for maintenance, and support of schools and $32,633 for the debt service. It Is based on the minimum tax levy required to raise the necessary revenue, Dr. James Clove, superintendent, told board members. Board members pointed out they are desirous of selecting a site for the new high school because the rspidly increasing population is making the present buildings Inadequate. |
