Show , ENTERTAINMENT REIGNS Bankers' Wives 'Cash in' on Fun By THE GADABOUTS Bankers may be in the chips, but their wives are having just as good a time while they are in Salt Lake with their husbands hus-bands to attend the 40th annual an-nual convention of the Utah Bankers' Assn. Local bankers' wives who are responsible for the social affairs af-fairs which are providing the entertainment are Mrs. Wen-. Wen-. dell M. Smcot, general chairman, chair-man, and Mrs. Raymond M. Dayton, committee members.- Monday afternoon a luncheon at The Roof of the Hotel Utah was enjoyed by the ISO guests. Young daughters of the bankers' wives, Pauline Dyreng, Claire Dyreng and Mrs. Lucille Chria-tensen, Chria-tensen, presented musical selec-, tions, and Mrs. Glbbs 8mith of Kaysville lectured on floral arrangements. ar-rangements. Chatting with locality, Mrs. Orval Adams and Mrs. Harold Steele, were Mrs. Ned Phillips of New York, Mrs. Morgan Craft of Los Angeles, 'and Mrs. Dale Ainsworth of Kansas City. Mrs. Ray P. Dyreng appreciated her children's talent along with Mrs. Harold Hemmingway, Mrs. Harmon Barton of Ogden, and Mrs. Arthur Sullivan of Idaho Falls. The Country club Monday evening was the scene of the dinner dance which brought bankers and their wives together to-gether on the party-f or-pleasura Little Rock, Ark, in Episcopal rites Thursday evening followed by a small reception at the McArthur Mc-Arthur home. The bride-elect has been in the prenuptial spotlight and Mrs. H. E. Heusser gave a kitchen shower for her on Friday. Fri-day. A Saturday luncheon was given at Beau Brummel by Miss Anna Var Bybee and Miss Trudy Williams, and Miss Marilyn Mar-ilyn Stayner gave a clever apron shower on Sunday. Mrs. E. Dan McArthur feted her sister-in-law Monday evening eve-ning at a shower, and on Tuesday Tues-day Mrs. John C MacFarlane is giving a family dinner. - Mrs. Gordon W. Thomas, another sister-in-law of the future bride, is giving her a luncheon on Wednesday at the Doll House and Mrs. P. K. Richardson also gave a dinner. Fred Daynes, 1365 Harvard ave., honoring son Robert Frederick Daynes and his charming bride from Los Angeles, the . jrmer Miss Shari Jeanne Wilcox, daughter of Dr. and -Mrs. C. Fred Wilcox of the California city.
