Show LIBEL SUIT LOSS MAY COST LASKI $60,000 LONDON, Dec S Wl-Attorneys estimated Tuesday that Harold Laskl, former chairman of the British Labor party, might have to pay up to $60,000 costs from his unsuccessful libel suit against the weekly Newark Advertiser. A high court Jury assessed the costs against Laskl Monday in holding that the newspaper did not libel him by reporting ha ' said at a IMS election meeting that labor might "have to use violence." Persons familiar with Labor party affairs said it was unlikely the party would pay the costs for Laskl, although party members mem-bers could contribute to a fund . for him. Laskl is an economics ' professor and writer and is not regarded as a wealthy man. |
