Show RAIL ABANDONMENT HEARINGCONCLUDES Hearing on the application of th Union Pacific Railroad company to abandon its Grass Creek branch line, running five and a half mil from Grass Creek Junction, nesr Coalville, to the Grass Creek coal mine, had been concluded Saturday at the Hotel Utah. Testimony from railroad official and citisens of Summit county, who opposed the removal of ths line, was in the hands of aa intaratat commerce com-merce commlaalon official. A report will be mad on th hearing and a decision mad later by th commission. commis-sion. Among those who cam from Summit county to attend th hearing hear-ing and offer testimony agalnat removal of the railroad because "it would be a aerioua thing for that locality" were David Johnson, county commissioner; C Rsy Evans, superintendent of schools of ths North Summit district; Lawrence Wright, member of the Coalville Lions club, and W. Heber Wilde, preeident of th L. D. 8. Summit stak. |
